Here goes nothing. .

And so after procrastinating for almost a year (!) I've finally decided to take the first step and create this blog.
Initially my idea was to create a travel blog, but alas, with me not being able to stick to just one aspect, this blog will Insha Allah be all that and more.

Me: My name is Fathima, a proudly South African gal living on the gorgeous East Coast. (Insert "slum-o" above)
I believe I can say with confidence that I do love my country and even more so my city- Durban.

My illness: Long before I came into this world, my beloved family members were all severely stricken by. . . the travel bug.
A sickness so severe and contagious that the little me found herself asleep on uncomfortable plane seats on a regular basis.

Okay so maybe I'm exaggerating a leetle bit here, but truthfully, I have been exploring the big bad world since my diaper days. Thus I am privileged to have travelled to almost all 7 (is it?) continents -by the grace of Allah- by the age of 21.

And yes, I'm still not done.
It's not really a small world after all.

This blog: this blog is fusion of tales from my various travels mixed with all sorts of other things that interest me, paper crafts coming first on that list.

Hence the name:
Paper {my obsession}
Prayermats {in honor of that piece of luggage that accompanies us throughout a journey}
